A coordination meeting of the working group was held, organized by the NGO “Association of Relatives of Kremlin Political Prisoners,” dedicated to the support and release of civilian residents of Enerhodar and employees of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) who have become victims of unlawful detention by Russia.

The event was attended by representatives of:

– Enerhodar City Administration
– ZNPP and the Atomprofspilka trade union
– Ukrainian human rights organizations (CHESNO Human Rights Center, Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group)
– International organization Legal Action Worldwide (LAW)
– Energoatom

The participants discussed:

– Provision of legal aid to families of the missing and imprisoned
– Advocacy for release through the UN, IAEA, and international platforms
– Submission to the UN Committee Against Torture
– Participation in the international People First campaign
– Updating the list of Enerhodar detainees for international communication
– Preparation for the upcoming conference in Japan

The group aligned on analytical and advocacy materials and agreed on next steps with LAW and partners for international representation of the cases of Enerhodar hostages.

We continue to fight for every unlawfully imprisoned person. We thank all partners and participants of the meeting for their unity and support.
