The British outlet The Sun has published a piece about the advocacy visit to Vienna. This matters because the issue of civilian hostages from the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is appearing more and more often in international media and is becoming more visible to the world.

The publication described the trip of the families of unlawfully imprisoned energy workers to Vienna and their appeals to diplomats at the IAEA, calling on them to help secure the release of people whom Russia is detaining because of their professional commitment to nuclear safety. The article includes testimony about torture, complete incommunicado detention without contact with families, and coercion to cooperate with Rosatom. It also mentions the story of Ivan Samoidiuk, who survived 333 days in captivity and speaks about what is happening to civilian hostages under occupation.

To increase international pressure, we ask you to sign the petition calling on IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi to help secure the release of the unlawfully imprisoned ZNPP energy workers.
