Civilians after release from captivity and establishment of the fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine can exercise their labor and employment rights.

Thus, for persons who have been held captive, their place of work (position) shall be retained for the entire period of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as for six months from the date of release, in case of medical, rehabilitation and recovery measures.
Employment assistance for the released persons is currently provided through the provision of training vouchers. A voucher is a document that can be used to fully or partially pay the cost of education in educational institutions.

The government has identified 70 professions and specialties for which vouchers can be obtained. In particular, for retraining in a working profession, obtaining a master’s degree on the basis of higher education in another specialty or advanced training.
To obtain a voucher, you need to contact the nearest employment center.
