On 3 March, the NGO Association of Relatives of Political Prisoners of the Kremlin held a working meeting with the leadership of the Central State Archive of Public Organisations and Ukrainica.
At the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation and agreed on the procedure for transferring to the National Archive the documents our organisation has gathered over the course of the full-scale war. These include documented testimony of war crimes and crimes against humanity, the abduction of civilians, materials from our programmes — in particular "Free Our Loved Ones" — and the stories of families fighting for the release of their relatives.
Within the "Archive of the War for Ukraine's Independence," a dedicated file collection will be created — the archive of the NGO Association of Relatives of Political Prisoners of the Kremlin — to hold these materials.
Transferring the documents to state custody will grant them the status of the National Archival Fund and will help preserve evidence of war crimes, the history of Ukraine, and the national memory.
We thank the Central State Archive of Public Organisations and Ukrainica for this cooperation.
