Biography

Farhod was born on August 22, 1986, in the city of Shakhrysabz, Kashkadaria region of Uzbekystan. In 1992, he and almost his entire family moved to Crimea. His father remained in Uzbekystan, where he worked as the director of a building organization.

The very next year after the move, he began studying at Simferopol School No. 33. After graduating in 2003, due to the need to take care of his mother, he immediately started to work as a construction worker, performing finishing work.

On the morning of March 27, 2019, representatives of the occupation authorities broke into his house. After conducting massive raids, he was arrested along with 22 other Crimean Tatar activists in the city of Simferopol, who were later taken to a pre-trial detention center in Rostov region. The FSS suspects Farhod of organizing the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is forbidden in Russia.

On March 10, 2022, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Farhod to 15 years in prison.

Four children were left without a father.
