Biography

Aliiev Muslim was born on March 4, 1971, in the village of Uluhbek, Ordzhonikidze district, Tashkent region of the Uzbek SSR.

In 1978, Muslim returned to Crimea with his parents, but because the Crimean authorities did not allow Tatars to register in Crimea, the family was forced to move to the village of Taman, Krasnodar Krai.

In 1979 - 1988, he received a complete secondary education at Taman Secondary School No. 28. He received a specialty of a third-class tractor-machinist and a wide-profile mechanic. After graduation from school, Muslim got a job at Krasnodar “Collective fishing farm named after Khvaliun”, from where, by order of the military commissariat, he was sent to study at Krasnodar Maritime School.

In January 1989, the Aliiev family returned to Crimea, to the village of Tsvitochne, Bielohirsk district, and in January Muslim was drafted into the army. He served 2 years in the missile troops in Nizhniy Tahil.

Muslim Aliiev got married in August 1996, has four children.

Since 2005, Muslim has been a member of the Muslim community "Alushta" and took an active part in its work. He took part in rituals of burying, marriage and child-naming. On behalf of the community, he conducted collective Friday prayers and sermons. He took part in the organization of the Muslim holidays of Oraza or Eid al-Adha, and helped those in need.

On February 11, 2016, armed security forces broke into the Aliievs' house and searched it, after which Muslim was illegally detained. The FSS accused him of involvement in the activities of the Hizb ut-Tahrir Islamic political party. The organization has been forbidden in Russia since 2003, but legally operated in Ukraine, engaging in public educational activities.

On November 12, 2019, a court hearing was held in Rostov-on-Don, where Aliiev Muslim was sentenced to 19 years in a strict regime colony with a 1-year restriction of liberty.
